You would expect me to say that it is, given that is how I make a living. However, more and more data will show that it is, but If and only if it is done correctly. Take radio advertising, for instance. It is very effective, but again, if and only if it is done correctly.
Here are some starting blocks for effective advertising.
(1) What is your story? What is that thing that you as a business do better than anyone else in the marketplace? And if you say, “I have the best prices,” I would like you to go to the nearest rest room and splash cold water on your face. If you are in the retail business, there are large, big-box stores that can always beat you on price. It is not what you should hang your hat on. You should sit down and figure out what you story is – the thing that absolutely sets you apart from everyone else in your business category.
2) Let’s talk about how that translates to your customers or your potential customers. What is that story you tell to people when they walk into your place of business? How to you convey you point of differentiation to any single person that frequents your establishment?
3) Now, let’s take what you have every day and fashion it into an effective radio advertisement. We can do that for you. You don’t have to worry about that part. Let us do what we do best. Start by determining what you do best. The next step is let us craft a message that will resonate with 80% of the potential audience.
