It seems every year about this time, I write an article on planning for 2015. Its right about Thanksgiving Day. I know people read it because I hear from some about what they plan on doing, next year, to make it a better year than this one. But, I also know many acknowledge the advice and then go about their regularly schedule holiday season with the idea that “that is next year” I will worry about it later.
Here is a novel concept. Worry about it now. Don’t be that person that wakes up March 1st saying – “oh it’s a new year, I best get to work on it.” Yet, it seems every year it is the same story. The people who get a jump on the new year and hit the ground running, have a good or even great year and those that wait find themselves fighting a constant battle to stay ahead.
Why do I care? After all it’s not my business and I am not charged with its success. Simple. When you work with our company, it is our business, too. We want you to success, we cheer for you to be successful. We want to add your story to our ever growing list of local successes. We, too, are local people. We work here, we shop here, we live here. The more successful our customers are, the better it is for our entire community.
Don’t wait. Get your plans together for 2015 before you are invaded by the holidays, relatives, and major distractions. Let it be your competitor who wakes up in March with absolutely no idea what to do or where to go. Not sure how to take the first step. Call Connie Hayes, leader of our team of marketing consultants at 806-748-2404 or call me directly at 806-748-2405. We will be happy to sit down with you and map out a plan for success next year and beyond.
