What make you stand out? We go through this exercise every year…determining what we do better than anyone else. I suggest you do this as well. What makes you stand apart from your competitor. The world is more competitive than ever. We need to give our customers reasons to do business with us rather than our competitor. Then we need to tell them the difference.
It needs to be a real competitive advantage. You should be very specific about this differentiation. Specific but not cliché. Exceptional service is cliché. Best prices are cliché. You need to be very specific about what the service is or why the price is best. Unfortunately you have heard these phrases in other commercials. Just because someone else had done it doesn’t mean you should repeat it.
Think about what you major point of differentiation is and try to find a way to explain it in a simple, easy to comprehend message. It is not enough to be understood, it must be so simple and easy to understand that you are incapable of being misunderstood.
