Hard to believe these are the last days of August and we are heading into the last part of 2016. It’s never too early to begin planning for the future: Your future 4th quarter and your future 2017. I like to start my future planning by looking at what I have done in the previous years that worked and what did not work. The conclusion I usually reach is I could have been 100% more efficient and effective if I had a better plan going into year, rather than trying to piece it together mid-stream.
Keep track of what you did that worked and did not work. Working on refining what you did previously to enhance what it did this year. Subtle changes in execution can lead to greater results while continuing to do the same thing year after year always leads to decline. What you don’t want to be is in the boat of doing something so good you stop doing it.
Set a deadline for yourself to have your 2017 plan in place by November 15th. You may or may not make your own deadline but by attempting to plan for the future you can lay the ground work for a great 4th quarter and 2017. Not sure where to start? We can help.
